stock shock plate specs
Hello, first post here. Normally i do alot of reading and dont have to post, but after much searching i gave up and figured id ask.
I recently bought a 99 cbr600 and it has a lowering kit on it. It consisted of new shock plates for the shock linkage with 3 different holes for the bottom of the shock to attach to. My question is which hole would be closest to stock? Guy i bought it off of had no idea. I will eventually get oem ones, but would like to do that in the off season. Right now it is in the farthest back hole giving max lowering I think. Moving lower shock mounting position further forward would lift the bike right?
Not really sure what exactly im looking for, maybe just a measurement from one of the other holes on the shock plate to the shock mount hole on a oem shock plate?.....guess i would need the angle too? Or a measurement from both lower holes in shock plate to the hole in shock plates where shock mounts? Hopefully someone understands what im talking about and knows the proper place to measure such a thing.....but everything moves which makes it kinda confusing which is why my brain is focusing on measuring the shock plates lol.
I hope this isnt too confusing, if it doesnt make sense or too hard to figure out this way ill just do it by seat height i guess? Im off to work now so wont be reading this for 10hrs or so. Thx for reading
