Default Speedo & Odometer Read Fast

Hi,

I have recently brought a 1999 CBR600F4 and I think the speedo and odometer are reading about 10% too fast. I suspect that the gearing may have been changed and that is giving me the error.

What sprocket sizes should I have?

Hi,

Mine is fitted with 15 and 47 so that probably accounts for the error in my speedo readings.

That's a good sprocket set up. Is it still a 525 chain?
You can get a speedo healer to correct the readout if ypu want it to show the correct speed.

Yes, it is still using a 525 chain. I am really happy with the set up but not happy with the speedo or especially the odometer.

I did not realise that the speedo healer existed. i have now ordered one and so hopefully by the end of next week it will all be sorted.

thanks so much for your help
