So on my way to walmart for some tuna and mac and cheese.. rush hour traffic.. =/ but i was very hungry so i saddled up... i get out of my apartment complex onto one of the main roads that are in the city and its almost bumper to bumper because of stop lights.. white car infront of me stops short! AND I GRAB a handful of front brake! and my front tire skids.. so the white car finally went after hearing my chirp (im happy i didnt flip or even go down and just skidded) I pull my clutch in and rev alil and get going again next stop light fuel light starts blinking.. (which is what i was waiting for to see if it works since the owner never really saw it since he was always full) so i pull into the gas station and fill up ended up being 11$
so why did i skid with my front is what im pondering.. when ive seen that happen people end up flipping frontwards.. i know its a stupid question to ask but.. Road Surface? tires couldnt be that cold since they are sitting in 100 degree weather.. and i got back home safe but drenched in sweat =/ ATGATT

first thing is that i think its quite humorous that you went for just tuna, and mac and cheese, my old cycle instructer would say its always a combination of factors...lol
like
speed, road surface, lbs of brake acting on the front and rear, weather....and finally how hungry you were??!!!!????....just kidding
thats not as bad as me, i decided to rev and take off at 5000 rpm released the clutch to fast and i started where there was some gravel too so my bike did some crazy numbers on the road....heheh but never laid it

How far had you ridden before the incident? Ambient temp being hot doesn't mean the tires are warm. Then there's other possibilities : improper braking technique (grabbing a handful of brakes), poor suspension setup (forks bottom out, demanding more traction on the front than the Tire can take), etc.
And if someone flips forward under hard braking, and they prolly were on the threshold of braking limits. Not exceeding it. Exceeding the front traction limits leads to a low side (or underwear change)
