Default Slide bars

Can anyone recommend a good and efficient way to mount slide bars onto my f4. I read that I should use a dremmel tool but if I dont have one what is another way.

Slide bars? I'm guessing you mean Frame Sliders, lemme give you a little run down on your options... Im sure someone will chime in to call me wrong.

Cut Sliders -
Cut sliders require you to cut into the fairings in order to screw the frame slider bolt directly onto the engine mount (I believe) giving you the maximum strength positon...

No-Cut Sliders -
Obviously require no cutting to mount but although I'm unsure where exactly they mount their not as strong as your cut sliders because they're not in a solid spot, meaning if you go down and the slider bolt bends, breaks, or the bolted spot snaps, your fairings are just as shot as running with no sliders.

Just my 5 cents, take the extra time to find a friend with a dremel or even holesaw and do it up...

I would concur, I have heard some bad things about the frame sliders that just clamp on and stick out the gap in the fairing. They probably are better than nothing tho.

Use a holesaw. It will give you the best and closest cut. Make sure to use lube and don't apply alot of pressure so it cuts clean. Don't waste your time or money with no cut sliders, they might work if your bike falls over into a stack of pillows but other than that you can kiss your plastic good bye. Even the good sliders aren't guaranteed to save you.

Go the extra mile if you are looking into cutting your plastics with a pair of race rails! I have had sliders snap on me when i went down..
