Default Shifting?!

Ok, I don't redline my bike much because it has 44k miles on it for a '99 F4. When shifting thru the gears with 91 octane, will I damage something by shifting around 3-4k RPM and not going above that? I know the bike is high-performance and it is supposed to handle 9k RPM or more. I used to have a 97 KTM 250SX dirtbike and I blew it up shifting up in the redlines. Sorry for my noobness, I just want to respect my bike.

You are absolutely fine. Redline on a sportbike will burn through the motor faster than anything. Ride and shift it like a manual transmission in a car.

Thanks wade, I appreciate all your replies to my topics, I wonder if anyone else might chip in on their 2 cents on my other topics? Most importantly the turning thread. That is what is limiting my fun on this bike, I want to learn how to properly take a hairpin turn at 45 mph.
