so i lost my key to my ignition and broke the ignition itself... reordered a new ignition but i tried to "hot wire" my bike to crank it up. by the plug in to my wiring harness i put a paper clip to 3 of the plug in which all my gauages and tail light lit up... tried to turn it over a few time and never cranked. but i know now im going to need the ignition to crank it up. my question is, since i tried to hot wire it did i mess anything up on my bike. my buddy told me today that if u try to hot wire the ignition on a 99 cbr f4 its 90% chance that i ****ed my ignition pulse generator up or something like that? anyone know anything about this???
