Default Is it possible Remove Fairings in one Piece

Hi all, so i want to get the fairings off my F4 - Trouble is the four screws on the V front Bottom Fairing just turn and dont come out. I would try to drill them out but they will just turn with the drill and i havent got a small grinder disc to get to the screw heads. Also cant get pliers behind to stop the nut thing from turning. So the question is, is it possible to remove the fairings in one piece by sliding them out under the bike somehow? A biker guy i know said he had done it before and he had to bend the fairings abit but he managed it. Any info/advice appreciated. Cheers

Yes and no. I'm not sure to which you are specifically referring to. Perhaps a picture would make it clear.

However, if you can get the bike off the ground and high enough, you should be able to get the lowers off together if you can get them off the mid fairings. If not, they could probably stay connected but need to come off the upper nose fairing. You will need to disconnect the front cowl in front of the radiator.

Best bet would be to disconnect the mids or lowers and see if you can get an inch or two of flex to gain access to the nut and hold it. Those rubber captive nuts (wellnuts) can be a pain. Make sure you have new ones to replace then with.
