Overheating F4 driving me crazy, HELP ME

If I were you, I'd test it at the battery with a DVOM at idle and 4000rpm.. then remove the tail cowl and see if you have the old SH# part.. and for peace of mind, replace it with the updated and improved OEM Honda finned rectifier.. if it still does it, try reducing the drain on the electrical system so that when the fan kicks on the charging system can handle it..
I had an LED taillight, LED hotbodies sidemarkers, and a 35W HID headlamp and the problem was gone. Granted, my bike never stalled out, but it did stutter a bit sometimes when idling for a longer period in the heat with the fan on before the LED/HIDs.
Also make sure that your battery is fresh.

Hey you! get out of here with your new F4i! j/k how are you liking FI?
and easy way to test if its the R/R is when your bike is having the problems, turn off the bike and pull the fuse for the lights and see if the fan still kicks in and the idle still waivers, if it does not than you know its the R/R; just make sure yo don't ride it around without the lights.

I love the bike.. just having a helluva time getting it registered.. so all I have been doing is washing, waxing, and riding in and out of my garage lol
I do miss the F4.. never had issues with it.. thats most of the reason why I went with an F4i instead of an RR or another bike.. cause I loved it so much.. I also didnt plan on buying another bike.. things just happened.. and I know Kuroshio took care of it so buying from him was a no-brainer.
With any luck it will be registered tomorrow.. and then Sunday a few of us are riding up to the West Point area.. should be a nice long day of riding..
Once it gets colder it will be odd not to move a choke lever though.. for sure..
