Default overheating 99 600f4

My bike can sit and idle all day long stays in the middle of the gauge fan kicks on and off well take it for a 10 mile ride come back into town hit a light and when i take off it trys to over heat gauge goes up not in the red but most of the way alittle more then 3/4s if i pull the clutch in and coast it drops right back down once i get going with no stops it stays down what could it be it???

Start witht the basics, top up coolent if low and try a new radiator cap, If it still does it replace thermostat and the flush cooling system.

ive flushed the system i put water wetter in it n checked for leaks it doesnt lose any water at all it doesnt boil anything out

it only trys to overheat when i take off from a stop light when i stop at the next light it goes right back down

Calcium or gunk maybe partially clogging the coolant lines? That is the only thing that comes to mind. Revs go up and the radiator can't circulate the water fast enough.

My f4 was doing the same thing I pulled and replaced the thermostat wile it was out shoved a water hose in the radiator and flushed everything for 5 min or so lots of calcium and rust crap came out after words no more over heating
