Default Overheating

About two weeks ago I started my bike up and let it run for a while, I got called inside my house for a bit and figured it'd be fine to just sit and idle. When I returned I noticed coolant dripping and that the temp gauge was maxed. As well as that my turn signals screw holes melted and melted the signals themselves. This seems pretty intense, what else may have gone wrong with the bike before I take it to the shop and have them run through it for me? I just want some type of heads up of what to worry about.

Wow! :O Sorry about your bike.

W/ something like this, who knows what else will need attention. Just have a factory Honda tech check it over & go from there. At best, you'll prob be looking at a new radiator w/ hoses & new turn signals w/ wiring repairs. Hopefully, there's no damage to the engine or anything else.

I know that's not much in the way of a more definite answer but I empathize w/ you on the situation. Sometimes these things look worse than they are. Its too easy to look at worse-case senario & let your mind run w/ it. Just roll w/ the punches & hopefully it will turn out better than you think.

Best of luck to you.

Appreciate the quick response, I'm planning on heading over to Iron Pony sometime this week with it. I did start it up today and everything seemed fine, it did heat up a bit but I didn't let it run too long.

Thanks for the warm wishes.
