Default original hurricane badge on my 99 f4 fuel tank, misrepresenting? responses please

before i do this id like to know your point of view, is it a no no or is it ok? i mean its not like some people, they have a 4 cylinder mustang put v8 badges on it. my f4 falls into the f sereis family and i think f 1's, 2's, 3's, and 4's are in a catagory by themselves anyways am i loooking at this the right way?

It doesn't belong, you don't want it unless you like the look or it's part of a theme you have going which doesn't sound like the case.

Actually IIRC, the Hurricane name was dropped because insurance companies were going spastic over this new type of sportbike in 87' so the name changed to CBR with the F2 to give the bike a lower profile with the insurance hacks. Anyway it might look a little odd on a newer f4 but if you like it then do it. For me, I'd put it on the lower fairing so it pays homage to the CBR's history but doesn't claim that i'm riding a Hurricane.
