Default Oil/Plugs

well ive been having a hell of a time deciding/determining which oil/filter to use and what plugs to use.

The plan was Mobile 1 Full synthetic oil, and a wix filter. Orielly couldnt find a filter specifically for the 99 600f4, but they had the same filter listed for alot of bikes but id didnt want to risk it.

as far as plugs go, what do you guys recommend?

Any other recommendations for stuff i can pick up locally? (oreilly/autozone/napa all nearby and a honda motorcycle dealership)

The Fram Motorcycle filter is the PH6017a. The automotive equivalent is the PH6607 or the much better TG6607. I recommend the Mobil 1 mentioned above. Currently I have the KN on mine (HP1004 I think).

Mobil only makes the car oil. However, many have used it without problems. I use a motorcycle specific full synthetic that, as they say, "provides superior wet clutch protection." Could be BS, but gives me piece of mind.

You can get it straight from Honda. I opted for the cheaper route and got the Valvoline motorcycle oil from a retail auto parts store. Motul also makes a very good motorcycle oil.

if you can wait a little bit check out the Purolator ones at Amazon. The Purolator website has the motorcycle specific ones listed and they don't have the pressure drop associated with the Pure One filters. Anyway, you can easily get the filters for $5 or less in a two pack and if you order $25 worth of crap they give you free shipping. (I order a handful for both the truck and m/c at the same time)
