So this is my first time doing this.. don’t know if it’ll work.. but I got myself a bit of trouble... b4 the bike quite on me she ran awesome no skips nothing.. I drove it to the local store and turned off the bike and got my items and came back out and it wouldn’t start again... so I bought a new fuel pump no change.. figured it was spark so I sprayed it with starter guild she’d fire .. so I tried the direct wire to the pump nothing so I did gravity fed .. got it running but didn’t act like herself .. now it sat all winter and it’s about that time.. before I take it to a mechanic and spend bunch of money ... for something simple.. please help I’ll answer questions best I can

 

Hi ,so the fuel pump is off the bike now and the bike is running but not as it should , is that right

 

No I replaced the fuel pump... so Luckly ur was close to home I pushed it .. after taking a water break I went to work on it and see why it wouldn’t start.. the priming was loud the pump didn’t sound healthy.. so I replaced it

 

What year is your bike

 

I believe it’s a 2000 but is there a difference between 1999

 

 

No matey, no difference , nice bike too, when you say it primes when you turn it on ,how long will it prime

 

I just don’t know what to do and looking for help b4 I scrap the junk... bike has less then 13k

 

Well when it had the first pump in when the problem happened it was loud.. I bought a new one and can’t here a damn thing

 

No dont do that matey there shouldn't be a lot of noise when turning on , as the pump only runs when fuel is needed, have you got a workshop manual for the bike? there is a few test we can do to check everything out
