Cheaping out on your only connection between your bike and the road is a bad decision. Tire technology (dual compounds, lightweight carcasses, etc...) has come a long way in the past few years and I would take advantage of this. Leave the Tomahawks to the stunters.
Good post and definitely truth.

I'm done looking at the Tomahawks. Going to run NTEC takeoffs on the CBR.

I probably would have bought a set of Q2's if the price difference was only $30. However I looked high and low for a decent deal. At the time I bought them nothing could touch the Tomahawks price wise. Turns out there a great tire and now that I have experience with them I would recommend them to anybody else. Beats not having any experience with them and weighing in on the subject. I realize there is new cutting edge tire technology out there and Tomahawk would be in that category. People race them, stunt them, and ride the street with them but to each his own.

I suppose if someone has a link for Q2's for $190.00 to your door that would be a link appreciated by all.

I just added a 120/70/17 and 180/55/17 to the cart and it gave me a total of $299.00 for both front and rear at the motomummy site.

You did it wrong. Click the link in my post above. The 120/70/17 price will already be displayed. ($132.00) Click the pricing drop-down and select the "120/70 & 180/55 Combo (+$67.95)" option. Bam... a set of Q2s for $199.95.
