It's 52,000 km mate my bike was imported from Europe new mate either way its still been so well looked after it's very tidy. The plan is just a few bits and bobs like some asv levers and carbon rear hugger as I use the bike to commute to work on daily doing 60 miles a day so it'll never stay immaculate unfortunately but it does get polished weekly so I'm hoping to keep it looking good

This makes me feel better...

I use mine for communting, just over 55 miles a day. I kinda feel guilty because she is in great condition but i just enjoy riding too much!

Mine has a rear hugger and it is without doubt the dirtiest part of my bike after a week of riding so its definetly worth getting!

When its warmed up all the plastics are coming off for a proper clean

I'm into detailing so ill also be stripping her right down in the summer for a full detail. The other thing though is that Hondas are generally bomb proof aslong as its well maintained and they certainly didn't make it to just sit around that's how I look at it so I'm very happy riding her all year round

500tie - A few of us are looking to do the ACE CAFE when the weather gets better - will let you know and perhaps all meet up and have a brew.
shouldn't be too far for you to get across to it.

Thing is, bikes and cars are there to be used. Yeah we all want them to look mint BUT at the end fo the day, in the UK, it'll spend 80% of it's days dirty lol.

I was contemplating getting a new faring etc to replace existing one, old one is in cracking condition but you never know how long they'll be available...

Can't wait until August when a 10-11 day tour of Europe becons... it's going to be epic :-)

We have a slightly longer trip but a nice route - cat & fiddle road to buxton then A6 down the middle of the country through matlock bath - pass donnington and on towards the ring road.

That should be a good tour on the cbr mate and I agree I was also thinking about fairings but then I thought if the worst happens ill just get some of those Chinese ones on eBay or 2nd hand genuine ones and get them painted. Like you said it's there to be used and I love every minute of it.

Dean0 I've heard about this cat & fiddle road as a few years ago I used to own a subaru impreza and a few of the guys on the owners club lived up that way and used to rant and rave about it. Although a biker I know from the gixxer forum got mega banned from that area
