metal dowel through the rear axle, instant and removable spools! it works I do it all the time.

 

Thanks so much everyone. I've got the bike up in a friends garage. We just pulled off the old chain and got the new one on, but managed to bend the master link a little. I'm picking up a new one this morning.

We took off the fairings and noticed a bit of oil leakage, most likely a busted gasket where the bike was dropped. (Not by me :/) and a few other minor repairs that need to be done. But overall, it's looking good. I think I'm gonna keep the lower fairings off for a while.

Should be back on the bike by this afternoon
