So my clutch is finally going out (quick) and I ordered one today through the local shop, normally I would order it online but the shop had a aftermarket complete kit for it which I had not been able to find online. Anyway I have done a lot to this bike mechanically speaking but I haven't changed a clutch in a bike before. I need some expertise to let me know what sort of specialty tools I might need for that and just plain what I should expect. Any assistance would be welcomed.

 

Its pretty straight forward, make sure that you have a good high quality, reliable torque wrench I snapped a few bolts replacing my clutch because I got the $50 o'rielly's special.

Same procedure for the F4 and F4i

Nah, the OEM one work fine for now especially cuz I want to replace the steel plates as well. Would rather do other stuff to the engine like get a second engine and set of carbs.

 

Why in Heavens name do you want an additional engine and carbs?

 

Spares, Ideally I would have a back up bike, but Im not mister money bags. maybe someday I will but not now. I want to race the bike, that's why Ive been doing all the suspension and engine work.

 

I am going to buy a race bike this year I hope I have been looking and talking to some guys and a 05/06 600rr all track is like 2-4k depending on what you get with it and what not. I just want to do all the upgrades because this bike is already rare I want to make it one of a kind. Thats me though and it seems like you too.
