Default New CBR exhaust

So I absolutely LOVE the look of the newer CBR exhausts that go under the tail of the bike instead of on the side. I have a guy who is pretty much a master at fabricating, so I what i am thinking is would it be possible to put on one my 99 F4?
And if I did, would I have to do anything to the engine to get it to run right?
Long story short, I don't want to burn myself on the side exhaust again like I did on my old bike....and being careful isn't really an option (some things never change :P)

what is in the process of carb adjusting?
Sorry, I'm a newb to stuff that isn't FI, I tune DSMs and subarus, so the world of carbs eludes me. Is it similar to tuning an air/fuel ratio?

Is carb adjusting something that I can do myself? Or should I take it to a bike shop to get it done?

once you get the exhaust on the bike just take it out and run it thru the motions go up some hills and hit the throttle see if it bogs or picks up ok and on a straight line open up the throttle if the tune isnt good it will bogg and wont want to pick till higher rpms if at all, to adjust the carbs you'll have to take off the tank, airbox which is right under the tank this will expose the carb, there should be 4 clamps similiar to the ones you just lossened to take off the airbox loosen those and take the carb off have to be gentle when take this stuff off dont want to rip the rubber, on the front of the carb (faces more so the front of the bike) theres 4 black plastic covers those are were the jets are have to unscrew those and remove them there is a spring and washers and spacer on the needle the spacer is what you adjust to make it richer or leaner its a trial and error process can suck because you gotta put it all back together again to test it, i would make a guess that you prob wont need to adjust it but if you did you prob only need to go just 1 notch leaner with the spacer

Fit a heat shield under the seat - you'll need it !
