need URGENT help!
I was riding on the highway going about 240 on 6th gear. Then my bike suddenly started slowly slowing down. if i tried to accelerate again, it barely moved. I came to a stop 3 min after this started (had no where to stop). started it back, it sounded like an RC51, rather than an inline-4 and a lot of smoke was coming out of the exhaust. tried moving it, but it would just stall when i tried to accelerate in 1st.
symptoms:
- sounds like v-twin, not inline4
- doesnt accelerate much
- stalls if tried to start from first
What could my problem be ?

RE: need URGENT help!
Alright so I got to work today,
As soon as I took my airbox off, I spotted that my valve cover gasket was sticking out towards the throttle body side, a good 3 inch of gasket sticking out.
Furthermore, I inspected my headgasket, there is no damage visible. The plugs all look fine, except one cylinder plug that was a bit rough and had a bit of oil on it, this worried me.
Thing is, I don't see how i'd be getting all the problems I have with just a broken valve gasket. I hope I didn't fry that cylinder that has the spark plug with oil on it.
I will take pictures tomorrow morning, thank you all again for your help, I really appreciate it.

Well, if the valves for a cylinder are completely fried, it could be compressing into the cylinder head, which could cause the valve cover gasket to blow out like that, but that would not be very likely at all... I really can't think of anything that could have happened (short of not installing it right and part of it getting cought on something) to cause the valve cover gasket to come out like that. It's designed to not blow out like that by fitting into the groove for the valve cover, very odd indeed.
Now, when you said you inspected your headgasket, did you just kind of look around the engine, or do you have the heads off? Have you inspected your oil? Metal shavings, discoloration, stuff like that?
