need help installing LED tail light for 00 cbr 600 f4
i just bought an led tail light for my 00 cbr 600 f4 and i dont know how to install it. on the new tail light it has a yellow plug which i figured out but the blinkers are a problem. it comes with 2 wires and 2 white blocks with wires on each end which is for the ground. now on the harness on my bike it has 2 bulb harnesses and the blinker harness has 2 wires for each blinker and the end is a rectangle female attachment. im not sure if i need to snip that piece off and splice them together or what?

The two white blocks with wires on each end are resistors for the blinkers. They need to be installed parallel with the +12v and ground, in other words one end on the+12v side and the other on the ground. This is to slow the blinking rate down because LED blinkers cause a fast blink rate. With some of these kits they give you connectors that each accomodate 2 wires, that's how you can tie in the resistors. So if that's the case use those otherwise butt splices and heatshrink or tape do the job just fine. Here's a quick crappy drawing I made to show the electrical connection. Hope it helps.

if its a tiny female connector for the blinker youre talking about then you need a TINY screwdriver to release the female pin from the factory harness piece. I just did this the other day on my f4i tail light. If you dont feel like going throught the trouble just snip and butt connect. Im picky so i released the factory one and put the new one in so it would plug and unplug like stock. the tail light and blinkers get their ground through the brake light bulb socket.
