this is a great thread. i shoulda took step by step pics for when i did it just for the heck of it.
paint tips: i went through a great deal to paint my entire bike. in particular, my tail section i bought off ebay was in very bad shape and needed floating (which would have been easier if i used better bondo).
I highly recommend using a good spray gun setup (i.e. not rattle can) and dont be afraid to use many coats of paint and clear coat. be sure to sand between coats to get uneven areas and give the next coat a good surface to stick to. (the prep and between coat prep will take much longer than it will to spray it). sand between clear coats and finish with 2000 grit or so.... then polish. It should beam.
or option 2.:
take it to your local body shop and drop 500 to 1000 bucks (depending on location etc).
LOOKIN GOOD SO FAR MAN
GOOD LUCK

is the seat any better then the ****ty F4 seat? My seat is as hard as a rock, I am use to it know but I have sat on alot of different sport bikes, and rode a few different ones, and the F4 by far has the worst seat....

well the f4 bannana seat is actually not too bad (although ugly). the split seat leaves something to desired... after a 2 hour trip i had the desire to let someone kick me in the nuts to take my mind off how bad my *** felt!!!
a corbin seat is recommended.. i have been on both the bannana style corbin seat and the f4i version and they are much better

You could always take your seat to an upholstery shop and have themadd padding to the seat. Thats what I had them do to mine when I had my seatcovered in ostrich.
