haha I hope to be done by july but I got the bike running, it came to in a dream.... And maybe someone here hinted at this buuuut I had unplugged the fuel cutoff switch /relay /thingy and plugged the turn signal relay into that Brilliant! But of coarse I discovered this after I installed my ignition and stormed around my garage and went to bed. I woke up from a dead sleep and at 0400 swapped the relays. BOOM my bike runs AND my tail light works = sometimes Im a retard and my neighbors are pretty lenient. Got the toggle switch to work too. now I just need to get the RFID wired up.

Installed the Spiegler SS Brake lines and bled them. Love how they turned out. But now Im kicking myself in the d*ck for going with smoked instead of clear (Im trying to go for a very raw bike, no funny business and unnecessary garbage. Just raw but refined) I was on the fence, and it had c wire and everything.

I have finalized my desition for the fairings but I cant decide on whether or not to order the fairings now or get the rest of the parts for the bike. Oh, anywho, happy 4th of july!!

(pics lost to photobucket sorry)

Abby is really pushing for this project to finish up so we can go riding again. When she started up she roared to life like she never skipped a beat. and now whenever I walk into the garage I can feel the residual energy just saying move. Its killing me! Picked up some take off d211s for $50 with 85% tread left and the sides look barely used. so I will use them until I get Q2's

Wow. That really looks great! Don't feel bad about the relays.. My friend did the same thing on his Honda VTX and it didn't start until he figured out he swapped the wrong relay out lol

I can't believe how awesome that carbon tank looks. Makes me sad I won't be doing that now....

Thanks guys, the tank was a lot of fun but it took a lot of work and dedication.

Alright just a brief update been tooling around

ordered some more parts and just waiting for them to trickle in. Decided to spruce up the ol' penske reservoir....... Nothing spells class like a guinness

These did come in and so far I love them! so worth the money, there is less than a mm in slop and they are solid!
Cant beat the 5 year warranty either

I figured I'd go with black over gold to keep the bike tasteful and have that mean, aggressive feeling.
Does our bike fall under old school yet?

Unfortunately that's about it for now, still waiting on the Koso gauges to come in as well as the front fender. I got a new Slip-on made from Jardine. they hooked it up with a Ti RT-1. Im going to be down in corona (CA) visiting my uncle and I can pick it up than pretty excited about that, I guess.

I'm pretty sure these are the fairings Im gonna go with and I have been talking with Auctmarts about color codes and the details. But the forum sponsor couldn't do the split seat, bummer cuz I wanted to support them first. Not sure how many people saw my designs over in the General Tech forum but a huge thanks to all the guys that contributed in that thread. I took every single suggestion and tried to adjust and play around with my designs and I'm actually really happy how the picture turned out. Cant wait to get them in. really praying that they will look good. In the end the key piece of advise was choose what you like and I think I did; but I wouldn't have reached what I truely like without help so thanks again and to everyone else reading this; if you get this far, scroll down and let me know what you think. I love the input. Oh and Demon, I talked to one of my friends who is really into graphic design and he agrees that there needs to be some yellow on the CF tank. He is helping me find a way to incorporate it if he can and if I like it.

I will be putting a C. Jardine w/ flag vinyl on the upper cowl near the mirrors to remember A family member (who has the same initials as me ) who was killed in an accident while racing. the rest of the deacls I think will be pretty much as OEM as I can get they will all be F4 not F4i too. Tossing up the idea of having HRC instead of CBR on the upper, still haven't decidied yet.

Unhappy

Man today was terrible! Just got out of the field (I was supposed to get some trigger time on the SASR but the ammo was bad so they made us do a 3 day patrol and I had to hump the SASR with my M4) to find out that I missed the delivery of my front fender and I couldn't pick it up because the post office closes at 2pm on saturday. than I get my new exhaust back to the bike and Im all excited to put it on. Eric at Jardine had it shortened the pipe to the length I wanted, its Titanium instead of SS so its lookin all beautiful. I slap it on to find out that the F4's midpipe is 2 1/4 in instead of 2 in. So I decide to finish wiring up the 1000rr kill switch to find out the replacement connection I bought wont work and I have to rewire it..... Ok well Ill do the front brakes...... NOPE the lenth that spiegler measured the kit at is too short to have the brake lines wired around the front of the forks and the left line wont even reach the left caliper at full extension. now I need to find something to do with the brake lines and order new ones . . . . . .. . . . . next I decide to adjust my clutch cable to have the correct amount of free play, actually managed to get the free play adjusted to 15.00mm; clutch wont disengage . . . .whip out my manual go step by step through the troubleshooting guide, cable is not stretched, cleanded tha cable adjusted the free play to 10mm and clutch still wont disengage. GHEEEEEEYYYYYY drain the oil to check for damage to the clutch lifter pin and rod. Nothing, they look brand spanking new.

today was bad I have to rewire the RFID ignition and killswitch, now ship my pretty new exhaust back to summit /Jardine to get a new one made (they still wont make me new headers ) figure out why my clutch wont disengage and call Spiegler and pray to god that they will help me with my front brake problems. I hate you Abigail, you are being a bad girl and I just want to put you out on the street right now.....

Hang in there. We all have those kind of days at times. Have a cold one & regroup. ;-)

That's a nice lookin' pipe! Like the levers as well. Gonna be great w/ it all coming together.
