I'm in a similar situation, I had a crash and busted up most of the fairings and the headlight, and since I can only ride 5-6 months a year over here I wanna hold off on the repairs for now, ride a streetfighter for what's left of the summer
Btw you can get the glossy look on the tank, you just have to paint it right. I repainted my helmet gloss black after the crash(it only had a couple of scratches on it)

gotcbr: Thanks I will certainly pm you when I get everything for the rear end conversion. I already have the split seat tail, all i need is a new battery tray, and two seats. And I should be good to go.
98formulaLS1: Its the original 99-00 tail. You can probably get it on ebay or when I'm done with my tail conversion you get buy mines! lol

The tail conversion is well worth it... Looking good so far keep up the good work! I would have been a bit wary of buying a bike from a stunter... I would plan on replacing the clutch relatively soon and maybe when your painting the tank... do a pressure test... to make sure all that "stunting" didn't burn up your rings or valve seats any... it never hurts to know if your gonna need another motor in the future.
