Default Minnesota Winter Preparation

Live in central MN, wondering what needs to be done to winterize my bike. Currently sitting in a non-heated garage, changed the oil a month ago, what else needs to be done?? First time bike owner...

I live in the Twin Cities as well and i dont really have to do much for winter prep. I run stabil thru the gas during my last ride of the season and i store the bike in a non heated garage as well. The only thing i do is go out there and start it up about once a month and let it run for about 10 min, and also once a month i move the bike so its not sitting on the same spot on the tire to prevent flat spots on the tires. Some people will put some kind of bag over the end of the exhaust to keep moisture out but ive never ran into a problem with it.

Also...
Take battery out or attach to battery tender.

I'm in Alberta, Canada with a non-heated garage - I drain the gas out of the system and leave the tank full with stabil. Then I clean her up, lube the chain, take the battery out and put a cover on it for the winter. I usually move it a few times for the tires as well.
