If it is a dealership they wont take them bake once they have brake fluid in them. Some salvage yards wont take them back either. Just sayin...

while seaching online for used calipers i saw where some one was saying that i can put other honda calipers on my 99 f4, they dont have to be f4 ones. if this is true what are some other honda calipers direct bolt up that will fit my bike? to broaden my search so i dont have to be looking for just f4 or f4i only.

some one bought the calipers I saw before I could get the money to buy em.
I was thinkn if there are other honda calipers that will fit my bike other than f4/f4i calipers, it will make it easier to find some used ones online. hope that made since

F4i calipers are direct swap & most plentiful on the used market (& typically less expensive). This is the approach I would take on replacements.

929 & 954 calipers fit but use your F4/F4i caliper bolts for mounting. If you're going to 'upgrade', you may want the master to go w/ it as well.

I recall hearing that '03/04 600RR calipers would work but don't recall if the mounting point on the forks had to be relieved a bit or not for clearance.

Good luck.
