Been looking for a bike for a while and saw this one. 00 CBR f4. 17,000 miles. Was laid down on the right side at one time, so it has some scratches on it. He says is rare because its the orange one with the black tail?? What should I look for on this bike? He wants $3500 firm. Is it worth it? Any help is appreciated, I don't know too much about bikes, yet.

 

nothing rare about except maybe in his area. offer him 3k n if he doesnt take walk away. If it wasnt for the damage $3500 wouldnt be to bad.

 

oh yeah and he said- Bike has brand new front and rear tires (full bore)

That's upper end KBB which at this time of year can be going price. thumbs up if you can talk him down.

At 17k miles, ask about plugs, valve clearence and CCT among other things.

 

I just picked up a 2000 w/6600 miles on it, in perfect shape (except for right front blinker is cracked around fairing) for $2700. It's yellow though. I think you can do better on the price, but it also depends on your area. I've seen some f4i's around here w/18,000ish miles for under $3,000 too.
