Looking to buy a 1999 CBR 600. Bike is in fairly good shape. Has 81,000km on the clock. Runs quite well. Only problem i see is the fan does not work so the guy has mentioned.

How many kms would this engine be good too?
What would a decent as price for this bike be?
Anything specific i should watch out for?

I think there might be a mileage thread in the F4 section somewhere but to answer your question - there are lots of guys on here with HIGH mileage F4's - more than 50,000 miles (~80km). I believe there are several with 100k plus - it is a HONDA afterall. It is like buying anything - if it has been taken care of, maintenance done, driven somewhat responsibly it will be just fine.

I am relatively new here and to the Bike scene but I would guess that one of those that was in nice condition with those kind of miles on it would be worth 23-2500 in my area (Virginia). The mileage is HIGHER, but if the bike is in nice condition it should have plent of life in it and be a good bike for a while.

If you get additional feedback and comparative price suggestions be sure to throw out the "Fire Sale" prices, the "I bought it without a title" prices, and any others that aren't an arm's length transaction.
