Nah, don't recommend the OEM tire. Although Dunlop makes good tires, the OEM tires aren't very good. For you starting out, I'd recommend a good sport-touring type tire...like the Dunlop Roadsmart, Michelin Power Road, etc. This type of tire will be good for any number of applications like; commuting, touring, & twisties.
My friend has the roadsmarts on his 99 f4 put 8000 miles on them so far ( fair to hard miles ) and the centers are just starting to go down, takes 40 mph turns at 70 80 mph and sticks them great he paid 230 for both tires.. On the pipe side i have a two brothers its ok but i want the bike to sound mean so i just ordered a moto gp and a d&d TO ME they sound the best the moto gp rund 67 and the d&d 230 and up on the eb@@..
