interesting leo.. did you use them for the instrument cluster or for lower to lower two retaining clips?

 

NO its long BOLT bolt bout 2 inches long going thru there. I wasnt able to get to working in the garage today bout that bolt neve left my mind. I got you

Naw I couldnt fine my lil thread screw thingy. I'm gonna go to autozone tomorrow and use theirs.

 

Update: leo is correct! The 'bolt' that I was searching for is actually a plastic screw or push clip that retains the two upper dash covers to the instrument cluster. It must have been from when a previous owner removed them.. perhaps to pull the upper fairing.. and then they lost it or forgot to put it back in... idiots...

The long bolt that dcmb is talking about is probably the one that retains the instrument cluster itself.
Anyway.. I had a 6mm plastic rivet but it is a bit too large.. I might just order it from ron ayers along with some other misc hardware the aforementioned clown lost... lol
