Default Indicators

Am looking to fit some flush to the fairing indicators to my F4, do i have to remove the front cowel to do this or will the indicators come away with a little persuasion? They appear to be fairly tight to the fairing and i don't want to snap wires in the removal process.

You will have to remove the side cowling so you can get to the wire connectors that are by the front headlight. You will also have to slide the front cowl off also. It is a pain in the ****, but when they are done it looks good.

Do you think i will need a new relay? Don't want to go to all the trouble of fitting them only to find i have to refit the old ones while waiting for a new relay to arrive.

for me... i removed the side fairings... so i had access to the screw that holds the signal....

cut the wires... got the new signals... spliced and reconnected wires... and they worked ... screw everything back in place.

i took off the resister so i can have a faster blink.

Who the hell uses turn signals anyways...

lol I quit using mine because I forget to turn them off. Which is just as if not more dangerious than not turning them on.

I got a relay from www.baysideperformance.com and they have a universal relay that is just a plug and play. I ordered one for $25Cdn and unplugged the original and plugged in the new one and it brought the signal rate back to D.O.T. rate.
