New paintjob for my CBR
I'm thinking about giving my bike a new paint job. I've got some spare money and wondering what to do with it. And I've got a friend who work as a painter and paint trucks, cars etc. So it would be both well done and cheap.
But I don't know what color I should have and if I'm going to put back the stickers or just have the bike really clean.
I'm thinking about painting it black metallic with a blue pearl from the Honda civic type-r like this

Or matt black (or is it called lack-lustre?) like this:

Here's how my bike looks like now:
I think it would be nice with black covers and silver frame.

Or should I just do something completely else with the money? spending them on the bike of course.

i thought about going with an all black theme on mine. 1. i have seen it everywhere. 2. it looks strange without being broken up in spots.
i bought metalic red cbr deacals that i didnt use that look sweet! (i also have chromed red which looks rad too). i was going to do all black with those red accents but decided to go with the black and white theme. I like simple and clean.. i left of the large fairing decals on mine. i can sell you the decals cheep. they are very nice. (i have the black ones on mine... they are just smaller that OEM but it isnt noticable).
all black, red decals and maybe deep red rims or red rim tape would be sick.
keep the picks comin!

If that is your bike in the picture please don't paint those fairings. I will buy you a set of downed fairings and a tank if you will send me those. Those are clean as hell and a paintscheme I have never seen. DO NOT RUIN THOSE FAIRINGS!
Thank you for your nice comments about my bike
So you guys think I shouldn't paint the fairings? I really fell for the matt black paint when I saw it on a ducati monster and think that it would be great on a cbr.
What do you suggest I should do instead then? Go for performance?
I'm thinking about going for a really clean look as Frankmackie suggested, with black and some red honda decals and red rim tape. Also thinking about lowering the bike a bit.

like the others are saying... dont paint those particular fairings... its a rare scheme...
if you really must have a black or any other bike..... hook somebody up with your fairings...*for a price* of course... and pick up a set of rashed fairings for cheap... and repair and paint.
you might even make a few bucks.

That seems to be a good thing to do and make somebody else happy at the same time.
Don't know where to find rashed fairings here in sweden though.
And most of you guys live in america I guess?
