Default Improving mid range power?

Howdy,

I was just wondering if there is anything out there to improve the mid range a bit? My bike is running fine but I just came across these 'Velocity Stack' things and it said to improve the mid range on motorcycles (or at least smooth out the curve a bit).

So is there anything out there? I'm not into hp gains or racing etc. Just wondering.

(Ps: Half de-baffled carbon Micron slipon, running stock everything else.)

do a -1/+2 gear change But make sure to change both sprockets n chain at the same time or you will be replacing it all prematurely!

If they're well- and properly engineered, which I have no idea of, they could effectively tune the intake air pulses to improve airflow in the middle rpm range. They could only do that at the expense of best airflow in other range(s), though.

I agree with changing gearing for more overall thrust, but in terms of increasing actual engine power output any noticeable degree on a non-turbo engine, you'd need to change cams, and prepare to lose power somewhere in exchange for gaining it elsewhere.

Talking Mid range,

Full Arrow system, this gets rid of a lot of the issues, but the only way to fully remove the mid range dip is to get rid of the ignition retardation and fueliing limitation that the EU put in.

Yours is not ingection, so you will need a jet kit, and ignition advance, Try http://www.factorypro.com/
Advance unit isRTR-HON-72-04 $79.95
Carb kitCRB-H72-1.0 $129.95

With the Velocity stacks these normally are only for injection bikes, and as stated these change other parts of the Power curve. So not really benifical for you,

-1 on the front sprocket will give you a nice boost.

A FMF powercore exhaust and k&N air filter made my f4 feel stronger in the midrange - I have no stats to back that up tho.
