Im having issues with my ignition and the key sometimes. Basically sometimes when I go to turn from the LOCK or OFF position to ON to start the bike it seems like the ignition wont turn unti you wiggle it a few times or go back to LOCK from OFF then back to ON. Sometimes I even reverse the key and put it in the other way, if that makes sense. Do you think the key is just worn down or the ignition is starting to go bad? I havent tried any key lock lube but I dont think that will help. Hope this makes sense and can get some feedback.

I've had the same problem.

I took my bike in to get some work done and they lost the key. They had a locksmith make another, but from day one with the new key I can take it out with the bike running and can only lock the steering or gas tank with the key in one way... if it won't lock or unlock I got to take it out and put it in the other way.

In my case I'm assuming its the key.

 

I had a similar problem a couple yrs ago...what happend was the pollin from trees in my yard somehow clogged up the ignition. I had to spray graphite in the lock to fix it.
