RE: how hard is it to change the headlight???
it was a pain the first time i did it ... i didnt know it is easiest to take off the front cowl.:
1. take out the 3 bolts connecting the side fairings to the front upper (cowl)
2. take off the rear mirrors L&R
3. take off theLAST bolt/screw on the top left, and top right of your windscrean/fairing
4. pull the fairing off... it may take a carful bump or two to get it so separate from the upper stay bracket
5. the wires will allow it to float on the front tire, carful not to damage the wires or scratch the fairing
6. the headlight wire will pull straigh out, followed by the rubber dust cover
7. remove the screw on the left hand side of the bulb and REMEMBER THE DIRECTION IT GOES... its a fussy little thing if you forget how it goes
8. replace bulb with a ketsup bottle
9 ignore step 8 and use a bulb instead
10 reinstal... test before re-assembley to be safe... reverse oder of above and your done!
it should only take about 10 mins this way
good luck

RE: how hard is it to change the headlight???
I'd follow Frankmackie's advice.
I tried doing it without taking the front fairing off and couldn't get the spring back on to hold the bulb.
Ended up getting really frustrated and ended up taking the front fairing off.
Wish I would have just done that from the beginning.

ilikemybike7,
Thanks and there are a couple other orange & black's on here.
I was taking my time, but the spring/clip that holds the bulb in went flying off when I unhooked it.
I couldn't get it back in under the screw or get screwdriver in there to loosen the screw.
I was pissed but it all worked out in the end....a hour later.

not that bad.... just gotta get the upper fairing off... i dont remember if its accessable w.o removing the fairing... for i dont own the bike anymore...
just be careful and DONT touch the bulb with ur fingers or anything for that matter... only handle it by the base.
