HID lights
Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone knows how or has put an HID head light kit on thier bike. My main question really is I know you have one bulb as your running lights and another bulb for your high beam. So do I have to get2 completely different conversion kits? Or do they specifically make kits just for bikes? becuase I dont want one HID bulb and a regular bulb. Thanx!

RE: HID lights
The only difference between a bike kit and a car kit is that thecar kit includes 2 bulbs, 2 ballasts, and 2 igniters for a car kit, and only 1 of each for a bike kit. So basically if you get just a car kit, you'll be set to install it for your running light and your high beams.
And as far as installation goes, BlueFox has a good writeup for installing them on his RR, which you can use to install on anything pretty much. The only difference would be where you install the Ballast and the Igniter. My HID kit came with the igniter integrated into the ballast, so it took up a little less room. The hardest part of the installation process is probably finding a spot to mount the ballast.
Hope this helps, anymore questions ask away.
