Different bikes have different pre-load, that's why I threw out the caution.
Some will pop the cap off with force after you turn that last thread.
Best to be prepared. Always support the front end of the bike, to take as much
of the tension out of the springs as possible.

Thanks again. I checked out the service manual and it appears F4 top cap is NOT pre-loaded. Good news I guess. I really appreciated the input, imagine if I thought its preloaded and it actually isnt. Itd be so funny to loose the top cap.
