Help! Can't figure out what this sensor is or where it plugs in!
I'm putting my 600 F4 back together after it has been in pieces for several years and I cannot figure out what the heck this thing is. It bolts onto the front of the cylinder head on the left side of the bike right next to where the exhaust header attaches to the head.
Here's some pictures:

Closer shot of the sensor:

Here's the connector that comes off of it:

I've looked all through the manual trying to find it. I thought maybe it was some type of oil sensor, but it doesn't show up in the lubrication section of the manual. So my next guess was coolant, doesn't show up there either, doesn't show up in the exhaust section, or the general electrical section. And the engine removal and head removal sections don't mention it either.
This is one of the last things I need to do before I can get the bike back onto the road, help would be appreciated!
Thanks!

That appears to be a camshaft pulse generator. Don't have my factory manual close by but I can look it's location up. Did you swap engines? I will see if its on my F4 but I don't recall it; might be a F4i engine?
Ahhahaha... No wonder I can't find it. I swapped heads with an F4i when this one's split open. Thanks, I thought I was going crazy!
