i bought my bike used and damaged (200 cbr600 f4) it runs but requires work. anyways my bike came with a bad aftermarket hid, so i pulled it out and bought a bi-xenon which is the exact same mounting as the stock h4 bulb, however the spring retaining clip is missing.

does anyone know where i can get one? i called my local honda motorsports dealer and they say i have to buy a whole new headlight assembly, 300$!!

please let me know if anyone has any ideas, else i will probably make one out of a coat hanger...

Check out your local scrap yard Any h4 spring should work

 

yeah i borrowed some 10 gauge copper wire from work, it's fairly stiff, i will give that a go and post my results. thanks.

still can't believe how difficult it is to find this simple part!

 

I would *think* that the clip from ANY H4 housing would work. (ie : from a car at a wreckers, or from a cheap housing on Ebay?)

Apparently, I need to read the other replies more thoroughly. I see this has already been suggested...

 

I qctually found one on eBay for another bike.. And it worked out.. Search for my post.. You will also need the retaining screw if you don't have it already.

You can't get the clip from Honda.. Just the entire assembly..
