Grinding during deceleration

I was just wondering if anyone else has had or heard this issue... During a downshift when the clutch is disengaged, I have a slight "grind" noise coming from the lower left side. I thought it might be the clutch but then I also noticed it while letting off of the throttle. Could the chain be hitting something during the transfer of power, or is my clutch starting to slip? I have no other issues except the b-b noise around 5k. Planning on doing the cct swap soon but other than that, I have no clue what this noise is...
Thanks for the insight...

just hope your gear jackshaft hasnt knocked the port through the engine casing outta round....
if it sounds fine while under power, centifugal force may be keeping it centered, then when the rotation speed declines it might"wobble" causing your front gear to line up improperly on your chain. check the teeth on the gear and the inside of the chain for pre-mature wear.
