I have owned a few Honda's over the years. My last 2 F3s were pretty much only acleanmotor and frame when I first got them. My F4 now was from a tow yard. Guy at the tow yard told me that the previous owner looped a wheelie and crashed on the freeway. The cops came and impounded the bike because he did not have his license. I picked it up for $1800 from the tow yard, running. Aslong as the frame is not bent and the title is clean, I will usually buy it fora good deal. Parts areeasy to find on ebay for Honda's because they made so many of them. I replaced all the fairings, front rim, tires, chain/sprockets, oil, battery, all from ebay. The bike is pretty solid now.
The bike you are looking at looks prettynice for $3000. If the frameis straight, the motor is running, and the title is clean, I would buy it. Also,BEFORE YOU BUY IT, RIDE IT! or have a friend ride it. Youwill get a better idea of how the bike is when you ride it. Good luck!
