Gear indicator
Hi,
I've just bought a cbr600fx (or f4) and I received a load of goodies from the previous owner which he bought with the intention of fitting but never got round to, the reason for this post is because the gear indicator is of particular interest for me to fit, however....
The gear indicator supplied to me with the bike is a singular 4 pin plug adaptor, instructed to fit straight onto honda bikes with DLC.
I've looked around the bike and can't find this plug, I've tried to search online for the location and/or help and can't find it soooo can anyone please tell me where it is or failing that, presuming the wrong one had been bought by the previous owner, could I be pointed in the direction of purchasing the correct one
Thanks

AFAIK the F4 does not have the DLC connector (only on injection bikes?) so looks like the wrong one.
The connector is tucked away behind the shock.

This may do both.

I've tried to do more research whilst posting and I've come to the conclusion that it is the wrong type, and the only ones I can find now that specifically say will fit the bike are around £105 which all of a sudden just makes me think is it really worth it? If it feels sluggish I'll just shift down a gear 😆 thanks for the reply 👍
Sorry buddy I only saw half your message, dont know how you found that but thank you for taking the time to look, I never saw that one when I looked but for £40 we might be back in business 😆 thanks again for your reply and help finding one 💪🤙
You want to get purely mechanical gear-indicator. One that comes with external up & down microswitches that you attach to shifter mechanism. Those signal to indicator each time you move lever up & down and it increments gear displayed.
There are also types that require 6 switches, one per gear. Don’t get those.
