My desk doesn't always look as tidy as it might sound

I've been doing it for the past 3 years... it's interesting as I've also logged fuel costs... I've spent alot on gas I've spent at least $3000 at the local station in this past year. YIKES

don't get me on this one, we pay 99p a litre. i'm lead to believe thats approximately 1/2 the us price, BTW we only have 95 or 97 octane here.

Octane is measured differently... RON and what ever...

I paid last week 1.21 / L... last year it was at 1.41/L... it has gone down to 1.21/L

Using the conversion chart I made that is about:

$1.40/L CDN = 0.66 GBP = $4.44 US / Gallon (yes american not uk gallon)

At 99 p/L = $2.11 CDN / L = $6.70 US / Gallon (yes american not uk gallon)

That is a frightful ammount... but I guess my one comment there is that when I was in the UK I didn't log many miles, so despite paying more for fuel I wasn't using as much either (luckily!!!).

Where abouts are you? I've got family scattered about from just NW of London across to the east... Bury (not as far east as ipswich) and friends further north in the Nottingham/Peaks district area. Oh and my cousins are both sailing from Southampton area.

I just switched my whole fuel system to ethanol and cooking oil, so far I've managed to get around 400 mpg, I working on reaching 500 mpg on 1 tank but I have to lighten up my bike. But you know...

I am just dreaming...

I've flown threw there a few times

I've been your way a few times as well... enroute to other places mostly but I roughly know the area. Probably won't be over for a few years now as getting older puts deeper roots...

Cheers,
woot.
