Well I brought the bike out to ride it to work today and turned it on to warm up. As I was doing a walk around I seen a small puddly of gas on the floor. As I inspected I seen that the leak was coming out of the feed line too the fuel rail, that sucks.

So before I go and start removing the crabs is thier anything important I should know before removing them?

 

Well taking the carb off was easy. What sucks is that one of the crabs has a crack on the body and that is where my leak is coming from. So since I really don't have the extra couple hundred bucks to put a new carb in I was thinking of using JB weld to seal it up. I have used it on a cars radiator before and it help up the pressure. So I'm thinking it will work.

What do you Guys think? Other than my best option is to get a new carb. Money is tight so I got to make do with what I can.

I've heard that JB Weld isn't recommended for applications where it's in contact with fuel or antifreeze....but read up on JB Quick, it's supposed to work.

 

I have used jb weld on a radiator before and it work perfect. As for jd quick its heat limit is 300 degrees as jd weld is at 600. Even though our bike should never see that temp id water be on the high end and the tensile strength is 3960 psi as the quick jd dosnt say how much psi it can withstand.

I've had people use this stuff on engine block and I never hear anything bad.

Well got the carb all patched up and installed and its working just fine. Did a whole carb clean and all. Its running just right. But lol I seen a small leak comeing from a hose but it turned out just being one of the coolant lines to the card that had a pin hole in it. I just cut that off and replaced the line and problem fixed. Now its time for a coolant flush but money is tight and I need a front tire first.
