I bought my 99 f4 in june and just recently i noticed my front brake light switch isn't working. The honda manual says that if the switch is not functioning i will have to replace it, and i'd rather not have to buy a new one when i may be able to fix it.
I was jw if anyone has dealt with this on their bikes.

 

check your fuses, then check the connection on the bottom side of the lever, pull out the connector, clean it up and stick it back in.

 

Yeah, i would dismantle it first and make sure everything is connected correctly before i would replace. If it still doesnt work then atleast you have it apart. Electrical isnt that difficult and you shouldnt be afraid to rip it all apart.

 

i'll have to check the fuse, when i noticed it i did clean the connectors, but i haven't checked the fuse yet
