Default FRAME SLIDERS...

Correct me if I am wrong, frame sliders are suppose to protect ur bike from scrapping all over the road if you should fall.I've seen bikes WITH frame sliders thats still end up scratch up big time right around the area where the slider is located. My question is, why does that happen? are they installed incorrectly, or maybe the wront product for the bike? Overall, r they worth it? I mean IF they work??

Frame sliders will reduce damage in a tip over....there are still all sorts of parts of the bike that will still get impact damage. Don't drop your bike!

frame sliders aren't going to protect a bike that is flipping down the road after a wheelie that goes 12 oclock on ya.

They are only for the purpose of to help protect the frame in the event of a lowside, maybe a tad on a highside. They will help protect the plastics in the event of a tip over or SLOW fall, but like i said, frame protection-hence the name frame slider.

In a worst case scenario frame sliders won't do much good at all. From my perspective frame sliders are only good in lay downs that occur at 35mph or less. If even that... I've accidentally dropped my bike at 0 mph and it caused some scratched on my bike. And I broke the fall by lowing it the ground as slowly as possible mainly because I couldn't stop the bikes momentum to the ground a 100 percent. But frame sliders would have kept any damage at from happening.

They are good only for slower accidents. Thats about it.
