Default frame sliders??

Hey guys, ive been wanting to get a set of frame sliders for my bike but i'm not much for the idea of cutting holes in my fairings for them. do you guys know of any other way to to install without cutting holes in the fairings?

I understand your hesitation to cut for sliders. However, cut sliders are really the best way to go & provide some measure of true protection.

The screw on type typically cause more damage than prevent. I'd rather go w/o sliders at all than use screw-on type.

There are how-to threads on the forum for installling/cutting for frame sliders. Its not difficult...just measure twice & cut once, & install. All you really need is something to put on the backside of your fairing, like playdoh/chewing gum/etc, to get the detent of where the hole needs to be cut. Use a good quality hole-saw drill bit - size 1-3/4 to cut the holes. Cut from back to front (tape off front area you're cutting thru to prevent burring). Install sliders.

Good luck w/ your decision.

when i did mine i just positioned the fairing where it would be and the slider bolt made an indent in the foam inside the fairing. 1 side came out just a tad off but alittle sandin worked perfect

I just used playdoh on the inside of the fairing and got the bolt impression. Super easy to cut then.
