Quick version:
1) remove engine mount bole.
2) replace with slider (cut style)
3) line up side fairings
4) use hole saw to cut hole
5) replace side fairing

Cut sliders means that you have to cut holes in the fairings for the slider pucks to fit through. They attach to a bolt that comes straight off the motor mount or frame and not a bracket that can bend in a hard crash.
Cut sliders take a little more work to install but there are various methods to make the job come out perfect - laser pointer, putty, template, etc.
