Got a 2000 F4, which flush mount turn signal should I buy? Shop says most universals would work, any suggestions from the guys that have already bought them?

Right/ wrong on universals. You can put most universals on anything, however it will look like crap because of the fairing design. Ensure to look at my pics and if you like the way they look, pm me and I will send you info on where to buy them. I lost money on universals because I had to send them back to the place I bought them from. Pais 434.99 AND LOST $15 ON s/h WHAT A DEAL ?

These 2 are probably the priciest but nicest looking ones around.

 

the problem is that the 600RR and F4i, ect have a lip on the fairing that will not let most universal flushmount sit flush..you can get adapter plates and install mini-stalk type, otherwise you will be grinding the lip off or buying Gregg's Customs
