yeah, i plan on matching the tank and the tail. I got a deal on the fairings because it did not come with the tail. here is just a pic from the 2002 stars & stripes castrol RC51

edubf3 where did you get the fairings? Ebay? How did they fit?

 

They are the race rep. fairings that you see on ebay. Go on ebay and type in "f4 fairing" and various ones should be found. They usually go for about $500 (including shipping). They are plastic and the graphics are painted. Onlythe main fairingholes are drilled but still needed to be bored out a bit. Everything fit pretty good, but as good as oem. The plastics are not as flexible as oem, but are a lot better than fiberglass, and still pretty sturdy. They were shipped from Hong Kong to San Diego. I paid $380 for the front fairings, L and R side, fender, and inner cowl (the tail was missing so it was cheaper). $200 for ebay auction+ $180 for insured shipping, took two weeks. I felt if'fy at first, but then I said screw it!! I'm happy with em. I have also seen someone around town with a Seven Stars 600rr, pretty nice.

is that carbon fiber tape around the intake ducts? bike looks clean as hell

 

no it a real carbon fiber overlay...the ram air ducts are the same way. i think they were LP if i remember correctly. If you were going to try it with decal there is a carbon fiber III available on ebay that is supposed to look pretty real. I know if it looked good it would be hella cheaper. The LP snouts were $100 and the ram air covers were $200. here is a pic of the ram air ducts its dusty but u get the idea
