I'm new to riding and my bike does not have a fuel guage.
I was wondering from other F4 riders, does our bike have a reserve tank? if so, where is the on/off switch? how much fuel do you have left, or how many km's approx are left in the tank once the Low Fuel Light comes on?
I'm aware that it'll vary from person to person based on how they drive, but i'm just lookin for an approximate figure....

Your low fuel indicator light should come on w/a little more than .5 gal in the tank [can vary from .5 - .7]. Consider that your "reserve". So take your mpg & count half of that...that is basically what you have left b/f you run out.

The only time you should have to turn off your petcock is when you are doing maintenance & don't want fuel to go everywhere.

i just watch my trip meter i get about 145miles befor my light comes on but if im near that ill fill up befor a fun run i dont ever wanna have to find out how far i can go without runnin out

 

Same here but I generally go between 120 & 130 miles, then I fill it up.. I rarely see the low fuel light...

 

i have a 99 and i get somewheres around 160ish and the light will come on... and i dont ***** foot on my girl, i run her to work and around on a major road, but still i dont start and stop alot when i drive to work so that might help
